The Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) ship registry is the second largest in the world and represents a substantial number of the world's commercial shipping fleet. The RMI's corporate registry is routinely used as corporate vehicles for shipping and non-shipping activities.
We have acted as Marshall Islands counsel for (among others) banks and other financial institutions, shipowners, investors and managers on maritime and general corporate and commercial, litigation, insolvency and restructuring matters.
We also frequently advise on corporate governance processes and the responsibilities/liabilities of directors/shareholders under Marshall Islands law.
