Francesca Koenders
Francesca is an associate solicitor in the London office.
Francesca has a background in both litigation and non-contentious work, with over three years’ experience at a marine law firm before joining CJC in 2024.
As part of the litigation team, she acts for clients in a broad range of P&I, FD&D and marine insurance disputes, such as performance claims, cargo and ICA claims, end of hire disputes and collisions. Francesca has a diverse experience in arbitrations and court proceedings.
Francesca’s practice includes advising on a variety of sanctions queries, ranging from due diligence advice to acting in sanctions related charterparty disputes. On the non-contentious side, Francesca has assisted clients by drafting charterparty clauses, contracts and terms and conditions.
Francesca is dual qualified as an English Solicitor and a New Zealand barrister & solicitor, completing the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme in 2021. Francesca holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce both from Victoria University of Wellington.
