CJC is pleased to welcome back Ahmed Hassan who joins the firm as an Associate solicitor. Ahmed previously worked as Legal Counsel for a London-based shipowner where he handled ship sale and purchase, compliance, insurance and claims related matters. he re-joins the team following a six month secondment to CJC’s litigation department.
 
We also extend a warm welcome to our latest trainee intake. Evgenia Kanellopoulou has worked for several shipping companies in Greece and as a senior marine claims adjuster for a leading insurer in the London market before embarking on a career in law. Evgenia completed her LLB and LPC at the University of Law in Guildford and holds an LLM in maritime law from the University of Southampton.
 
Ian Scotton has several years of seagoing experience, having worked in a professional capacity aboard tall ships in the sail training industry as well as on North Sea fishing vessels. He subsequently embarked on his legal career, completing the GDL in 2019 and the LPC in 2020 at BPP London.
