The August 2019 issue of Asia Legal Business included Campbell Johnston Clark in its Ones to Watch feature as “the only international firm on this year’s list”.
Naturally, the publication focused on our Singapore office and our role in shipping law work, also highlighting the arrival as partners of well-known marine litigators Paul Apostolis and Gareth Williams last year.
Combined, Paul and Gareth brought with them six decades of experience, with high profile casework including the loss of the container ship MOL Comfort, the loss of the very large ore carrier Stellar Daisy in the South Atlantic and the grounding of the cruise ship Caledonian Sky in Indonesia, which attracted record reef damage fines.
CJC’s practice in Singapore is conducted from a shophouse on historic Amoy Street. The tranquil setting is nonetheless in the heart of the city, providing an ideal base to develop CJC’s ethos as a firm maintaining the practice of law as a profession.
