The opening and launch of CJC Newcastle was marked in style on 5 September, with an exclusive evening at the Newcastle art gallery "The Biscuit Factory".
The party, attended by over 100 clients, friends and colleagues, was held by all to be a huge success, and included hilarious and rather edgy standup comedy from "Silky" and much dancing to the live Balkan-style boogie band "The Baghdaddies".
Another highlight of the evening was the band “Love Street”, led by CJC partner Julian Clark (keyboard and vocals). Variously described as “so funky”, “boogietastic” and “hip, loud but rather good fun!”.
CJC Newcastle is headed by Allen Marks (senior associate litigation), and Finlay Lockie (consultant transactional) and is fully integrated into the London office. The team in Newcastle is supported by associate solicitors, trainees and administrative staff. They are looking forward to participating in the development of Newcastle as a regional maritime hub and serving clients there and beyond as full members of the CJC team.
