Jonathan Campbell and Mark Bamford attended the recent Turkish shipping summit held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Istanbul on 13 November 2012.

The event was a great success and Jonathan chaired the “staying afloat” session.  Panellists on this session included  Lasse Kristoffersen, President & CEO, Torvald Klaveness, Tugrul Tokgoz, CEO, Geden Lines, George Xiradakis Founder and Managing Director, XRTC Business Consultants, Seyma Inal and Richard Moore of RMK Maritime.  The panellists discussed the availability of finance, counterparty risk issues and the appearance of significant private equity funds in the shipping business.
