CJC was delighted to support the Centre for Maritime Law in India founded in 2015 by the National Law University Odisha to help promote research and growth in maritime law in India and bring together maritime experts from all across the globe.
CJC’s Jacqueline Zalapa contributed a chapter, “Contractual Anti-Suit Injunctions” to the Centre’s inaugural maritime textbook, Through the Lens of Maritime Law : A World View released last month at the International Conference on Maritime Law in Mumbai with the Director General of the Ministry of Shipping, Mr. Shri Amitabh Kumar. CJC was also delighted to sponsor the two winning research papers awarded by the Centre:-
- Campbell Johnston Clark Award for Best Research Paper - Comparative Analysis of International Rules Relating to Cargo Disputes (Authored by Devika Radha, Student, Symbiosis Law School, Pune)
- Campbell Johnston Clark Award for Second Best Research Paper - International Investment Law in regulating the offshore energy sector: lessons for the Bay of Bengal Region (Authored by Sanjana Hoque, Student, South Asian University, Delhi)
